BerryDunn has presented preliminary findings to Chancellor Dubois and the Cabinet. The team will present findings and recommendations to faculty and staff once classes resume fall semester, 2018. Campus feedback and additional analysis by BerryDunn will be incorporated into final recommendations that will be presented to Chancellor Dubois in November.

The BerryDunn team has completed the analysis of data collected from on-campus visits, focus groups and survey responses. They have identified unmet needs, compiled findings and are creating a draft of findings and concepts to support the future organizational structure. BerryDunn has also completed research with nine other universities to gather comparative information about resources, staffing levels, service delivery and organizational practices.

The BerryDunn team was on campus from February 12-15 to conduct additional focus groups and interviews with faculty and staff, as well as ITS staff. Further information was gained about unique IT needs, how those needs are being met today, and opportunities to strengthen services and address future needs. BerryDunn was on campus the week of January 29 to conduct the first round of focus groups and interviews. They met with IT staff and stakeholders from each college and 27 departments representing all divisions across the University. They also facilitated open forum focus group sessions for students, faculty, and staff.

BerryDunn will hold on-site meetings and focus groups with faculty, staff, students and IT staff the weeks of January 29 and February 12. The main goals for the faculty, staff and student meetings are to understand what IT services are needed and to identify areas for improvements. The main goals for the IT staff meetings are to understand what services are provided, identify service improvement opportunities and discover professional development needs.

BerryDunn’s extensive information gathering phase is well underway. IT Assessment key contacts have been identified, comprised of College and departmental leadership who have IT staff. BerryDunn is working closely with these individuals to identify stakeholders and how to best engage faculty, staff and students.
