BerryDunn is now well into the second phase of their work to determine how recommendations identified in Phase I will impact each unit, each distributed IT staff member and the university's IT organization. As part of this effort they asked each distributed IT staff member to compete a survey to better understand time and effort allocation, interests and skills.

BerryDunn has completed individual meetings with over 150 distributed IT staff. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their schedule to meet with them. Your input and perspective is an important part of the process. BerryDunn will return to campus the week of February 11th to meet with the Faculty Council and facilitate focus groups with faculty from each college.

Our BerryDunn team was on campus the week of December 3rd to meet with academic deans and administrative leaders across the University. While on campus we also presented to the monthly Local IT Admin meeting, which enabled us to provide a heads-up about upcoming activities and discuss questions people had about the effort. On Monday 12/3/18, a survey was sent out by BerryDunn to all distributed IT staff. Each distributed IT staff member was asked to complete the survey so that BerryDunn can better understand staff time allocation, interests, and skills. The surveys are due by December 14th; survey responses will only be viewed by BerryDunn consultants.

BerryDunn has presented preliminary findings to Chancellor Dubois and the Cabinet. The team will present findings and recommendations to faculty and staff once classes resume fall semester, 2018. Campus feedback and additional analysis by BerryDunn will be incorporated into final recommendations that will be presented to Chancellor Dubois in November.

The BerryDunn team has completed the analysis of data collected from on-campus visits, focus groups and survey responses. They have identified unmet needs, compiled findings and are creating a draft of findings and concepts to support the future organizational structure. BerryDunn has also completed research with nine other universities to gather comparative information about resources, staffing levels, service delivery and organizational practices.
