Sponsored Guest Request Process has Changed

A few weeks ago, an announcement was sent which included upcoming changes to the Sponsored Guest Account Request process. This new process was implemented Monday, July 31.

What does this mean for me?

Sponsored guest requests are now made through the Imaging system and go through an approved Business Officer or Information Security Liaison who submits on behalf of the sponsor.

Required Information for New Form

Since sponsored guest accounts grant access to University computers, systems, and data, the new process will reduce potential data security risks.

  • Sponsors need to supply a copy of the guest’s photo ID (driver’s license, passport, state ID, or green card).
  • For requests for non-US Citizens: work with the International Student and Scholars Office (ISSO) prior to submitting the request and attach the ISSO email indicating that process is complete
  • For vendor requests: review the contract with Information Security Liaison prior to submitting the request.
