In addition to the Wi-Fi upgrades being implemented around campus, please note two other Wi-Fi updates for an improved experience:
Eduroam is another secure way to access campus Wi-Fi. It’s been available for several months with lots of positive feedback. On Jan. 5, 2016 Eduroam will take the place of Niner Wifi-Secure (more details below). Try it when connecting to Wi-Fi...just be sure to enter your full email address! Note: not only can you use Eduroam on campus here, but it’s also available at any participating university–worldwide. Click here for helpful Eduroam FAQs.
Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016:
The Niner Wifi-Secure selection will become Eduroam. Niner Wifi-Secure will continue to work on devices that already have it set up; however, Niner Wifi-Secure will fully retire in the summer.
Niner Wifi-Guest will no longer ask for credentials. All guest traffic is routed outside campus so the customer's connection is treated as such. It has very limited bandwidth since it's for campus visitors, so please use Eduraom/Niner Wifi-Secure.
