- Click Control Panel on the pop-up menu.
- Under Network and Internet, click Connect to the Internet.
- Click Wireless.
- Click the uncc49er connection in the pop-up box.
- Check the Connect automatically box, then click Connect.

- Click the Start button in the lower left-hand corner.
- Click Connect to on the pop-up menu.
- Click the Start button in the lower left-hand corner.
- If uncc49er does not appear in the list of available networks, click Set Up a Connection or Network below the list of available networks.
- Click Manually connect to a wireless network.
- Network Name = uncc49er (all lower case)
Security Type = No authentication (open)
Make sure both boxes at the bottom are checked.
Click Next and Close.

- Click the blue Start button in the lower left-hand corner.
- Click Control Panel on the pop-up menu.
- Double-click Network Connections.
- Single-click Wireless Network Connection.
- Under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
- In the Wireless Network Connection window, click Change the order of preferred networks under Related Tasks.
- Under Preferred Networks, click Add.
- Network Name = uncc49er (all lower case)
Network Authentication = Open
Data Encryption = Disabled
Click OK in both boxes.
