Moodle

Moodle is the open source learning management system that delivers course content such as web pages, quizzes, assignments, and more, all in a secure online environment.

  • Login to Moodle
or access course information after you login to 49er Express

  • On the left side of your window, in the My Courses block, will be a list of semesters, or terms. The current semester should be expanded and if you have courses in Moodle they will be listed there.
  • Read the Moodle student tip sheet available from the Center for Teaching and Learning.

If your instructor has informed you that they will be using Moodle and you do not see the course listed, contact the instructor.

Respondus LockDown Browser
Instructors have the option of using Respondus LockDown Browser to administer quizzes. This browser prohibits printing, copying and pasting information, accessing other web sites (unless relevant to a quiz question) or accessing other applications until the quiz has been completed.

When you access a quiz that requires the LockDown Browser, you will be prompted to download the software. You will only need to install the software once and you must have IE or Safari installed .

  1. To take the quiz, close the current Moodle window
  2. Double-click the LockDown Browser shortcut on your desktop
  3. Log in to Moodle again. You cannot take the quiz using another browser

LockDown Browser is installed in the Student Computing labs.
