Service Description: File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer files from one host to another over the Internet. FTP is built on a client-server architecture and utilizes separate control and data connections between the client and server. FTP access may require authentication.

Cost: Funding for this service is managed by ITS.
Availability: This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of upgrades, maintenance, and scheduled outages. Outages are posted in ITS Alerts.
Getting Started: Faculty and Staff may request FTP accounts through HelpDesk Online or the IT Service Desk.
