Service Description: Centra is a web conferencing program which lets people interact with one another "live" in a virtual online meeting environment. You can meet, learn and collaborate from anywhere you have access to a computer and an Internet connection using multi-way audio and video, application sharing and content display. All Centra sessions are automatically recorded, so those unable to attend the live meeting can playback the session at a later time.

Cost: Funding for this service is managed by ITS.
Requirements: Centra requires a stable broadband connection and a headset with a microphone or a standalone microphone and speakers. Before you use Centra on any computer, please be sure to run the System Check.
Availability: This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of upgrades, maintenance, and scheduled outages. Outages are posted in ITS Alerts.
Getting Started: Professors and students can open live sessions directly from their Moodle courses for classes, virtual office hours, problem-solving sessions and more. Students can view and download recordings from Moodle courses as well. UNC Charlotte faculty and staff only can create Centra events that can be used to host meetings with remote colleagues, your own Webinars and other non-course related activities by logging in to https://centra.uncc.edu.System Check
